Watch and learn with Bernina educator – Aggy Burczyk

What a treat we have for all those coming along to Festival this year! Our Silver Sponsor – Bernina Australia – is bringing International educator – Aggy Burczyk to share her knowledge with everyone!

Aggy Burczyk, born in Germany, fell in love with patchwork and quilting at a very early age when living with her parents in Canada. In 2007 she started her second career as a teacher and professional quilter after leaving her main profession as a nutritionist.
Aggy now lives in Italy with her family and her dream came true when she joined the developing group for BERNINA Internationals new Q-series – the Q 20 and Q 24 longarm quilting machines and the automated longarm quilting system Q-matic. With all tools at hand, she developed and explored her passion for digitizing quilting designs and became an approved Art &Stitch instructor in 2016. Today Aggy works as the Product Manager for BERNINA Q-series and travels across the globe teaching everything there is to know about the Q-Series.

Aggy will be presenting a large array of demonstrations on both the main stage at 1pm each day plus on the Bernina stand each day.

On the Main stage:

  • A whole cloth Quilt –  quilting beyond the quiltable space
  • Q-matic – Bread & Butter Quilting

On the stand over three days:

  • Pantograph Quilting A to Z
  • Q-matic – from the design to your quilted block
  • Q-matic – FAQ
  • Rulers, Echo Rings – all the help you can get!
  • Busy Fabric – Fantastic Borders
  • Echo and Micro Fillers

The full details of each demonstration & times they will be presented will be listed on our Festival App which will be available for download by 1st September.

We have actually had ONE cancellation on Thursday at 1.30pm for the Q20 hands on class being presented by Kerrie Hay & Cathy Sofarnos. This is the last seat left for all 3 days!

Happy quilting….

Tracey
