Cross Stitch Corner & Quilting

Rosemary of Cross Stitch Corner & Quilting is thrilled to be supporting AMQ Festival via her sponsorship of the registration bags and also the Viewer’s Choice award of the Festival Quilt Show. Once again her business notepads will make a welcome addition to your bag contents and I’m sure the cash will be most appreciated by the Quilt Show winner!

Cross Stitch Corner began in Darwin in 2000, when Rosemary saw a need for crafters and stitchers to have a place to buy their specialities. Starting in a corner store in a large shopping centre, the business quickly grew to encompass many other sewing needs of the Darwin community.

In 2011, a family relocation to Malanda saw Rosemary and Cross Stitch Corner find a new home. The store now resides at 10  Hillcrest Road, Malanda and has grown again.

The Corner, is now stocking a magnificent range of patchwork and dress fabrics. Stitchers have not been forgotten either with a huge range of threads and fabrics including many hard to find products.

Rosemary loves to connect with everyone and you can connect with her on the Cross Stitch Corner Facebook page, website, and by phone or email.

For all your note taking in classes we have this 50 leaf A5 notepad sponsored by Cross Stitch Corner that is included in your Registration Bag…which is a Cabin Luggage Bag! Such a useful bag that you can use to carry all your new goodies home in this year.

All of our generous sponsors are listed on our website. Please take a moment to view, acknowledge and thank them when you are chatting to them at Festival, or when you visit them online!

REMINDER:

Festival Quilt Show Entries are still open for you to enter your award winning quilts! ENTER HERE

For the 5th Anniversary of the Australian Machine Quilting Festival, we are going to do something a little different with a celebration of quilts on display! I invite ALL past students and attendees of Festival along with all customers of Constantine Quilts to enter their prize winning quilts to be judged by their peers and gain the coveted ‘Viewer’s Choice’ award. Ribbons earned from any show in any country are eligible!
I am very proud and humbled by all my friends, acquaintances, students and customers that have challenged themselves to learn more, do more & achieve more in their quilting endeavours. So much so, that I would love to honour you all by being able to once again, display your award winning quilts for all to enjoy. So many times I hear that a special quilt has won awards & now languishes on a wall, bed or in a cupboard as you can’t enter them into shows where they have already been seen. I’d like to think that I’ve played just a teeny, tiny role in your quilting career and now want to show your quilts to more people who really appreciate them.

So this is your chance to bring them out to be admired, oohed & aahhed over, appreciated and loved once again. We will have an amazing display of stunning quilts and be very honoured to receive the best award of all – the ‘Viewer’s Choice’ award amongst the best of the best. We have fantastic prizes consisting of cash and goods, so well worth the effort of entering your quilts. PLUS even more chances of receiving a ‘Teacher’s Ribbon’ to add to your collection of ribbons. Just imagine getting one of these from your favourite teacher!

Entries close on 31st August and quilts will need to be delivered by 10th September if by post. There will be an option to deliver personally on Sunday 16th in Adelaide. Details will be forwarded with acceptance letters. See full terms and conditions on the website.

Phew – 6 weeks time we will all be together!

Happy quilting…

Tracey
