We are exceptionally fortunate to have such an innovative quilter here in Australia sharing her technical skills with students at AMQ Festival. Kat has won Best of Show at Quiltcon in 2017, Best of Show at AMQ Festival in 2016 and Best of Show in 2017 at the Tasmanian Quilt Guild show as well as many other ribbons world wide!
Kat entered an International Challenge that used Moda Bella solids and came up with this quilt that became the winner. From the success of this quilt she was talked into creating a class so that others could learn how she created the different elements. Hence her famous Bias applique’ techniques that are presented 3 ways at Festival as well as the Trapunto Mini Balloon class!
The following are a range of samples done by students in her mini balloon classes this year! So now is YOUR chance to make your own Mini balloon quilt. A great way to showcase your favourite prints or use solids for a more dramatic design this class teaches machine applique’, trapunto, walking foot quilting with pearl cotton and a fun swirling FMQ background fill. So MUCH in just one class – you won’t want to miss this one. You can register for any or all of Kat’s classes here.
Seats are limited in this and you will be using Bernina 350 machines to work with in class.
Not long now…
